TOKYO- Researchers at the Tokyo Institute of Technology have broken the record for the worlds fastest Wi-Fi.
Using a 542GHz wireless connection in the 300GHz-3THz spectrum, they achieved speeds of 3Gpbs, reports Le Journal du Geek. If thats a little too technical for you, what you need to know is that 3Gb/s is about 20 times faster than the fastest Wi-Fi connections that are available today.
Will we be able to benefit from this super fast Wi-Fi in the next few years? Definitely!
According to the Tokyo Institute of Technology project leader, Dr Suzuki Safumi, everybody will use products related to THz (Terahertz) technology within the next decade.
Last December, AT&T called Terahertz technology the next frontier for radio transmissions.
